Inside the MetaArcade (Sep. 28, 2017)

Happy Thursday, delvers! We hope you’ve been enjoying our latest adventure, Overkill, this past week. It’s been awesome reading the reactions from both new and veteran players alike: from those who have confronted and conquered the challenges of Marionarsis’ castle as well as those of you still piecing your way through its dark halls!

If you haven’t visited our official discussion thread to post your thoughts about last week’s update (or the game in general), now is a great time to do so. We’re often discussing topics and suggestions brought up by the community here at MetaArcade, where your feedback plays a big part in prioritizing improvements and coming up with new, engaging experiences in Tunnels & Trolls™ Adventures. It’s also our way of involving you in the development process—at least until you’re able to start building and sharing adventures of your own! So hop on over to the forums and make yourself heard!

Don’t know where to begin? Here’s one discussion thread where you can get started—an important topic to both the community and the MetaArcade team:

Now with last week all wrapped up, the next question is: what are we working on THIS week? For those of you who are curious, here’s a synopsis of what’s happening here at MetaArcade:

  • Naked Doom may have too much doom… We’ve heard your pleas, and agree that Naked Doom might be a bit too “doom-y” to serve as the opening adventure on a new player’s journey. As much fun as we’ve had disintegrating, immolating, and otherwise annihilating-in-oh-so-many-ways your starting heroes, we understand that it might be less enjoyable when it’s your very first experience in Tunnels & Trolls Adventures. What’s the alternative? We’re working that out right now, though in the meantime we welcome your thoughts and ideas.
  • Older devices have a hard time running Tunnels & Trolls Adventures. We’re always working to improve and expand the list of devices we support as our playerbase continues to grow. If you happen to be running into issues on your device, we’d encourage you to contact our support team and let them know; they’ll be able to help and escalate your issue to our team.
  • On rare occasions, players are losing AP, levels, and gold. Yikes! Though rare, this bug seems to crop up after a user has paused and resumed one of their games. While our team continues to dig into the issue, we’d love to hear any other issues you encounter while playing! Take a moment to create a post on our reddit forum, where we’ll be able to investigate, log, and hopefully fix the issues you uncover. You can also contact the support team to share details directly with a member of the team!

There’s plenty more on our “to-do” list, but these are just a few of the big things we’ve seen you talking about over the past few weeks. Again: keep the feedback coming, and thanks to everyone participating and kicking off discussions about the game. We couldn’t do this without all of you!

Before we wrap up, I’m also excited to tease our NEXT big adventure, coming late next week! It involves an adventurer on the run, dark forests, and creatures from the underworld. (Can you guess its name?)

A new Tunnels & Trolls adventure arrives next week.
